Participation in Isolation was a 30 day challenge organised by artist Roo Dhissou during April 2020 in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. The open call tasked artists to use their government-sanctioned one walk a day to do a performance. These performances were realised in both indoor domestic settings and in outdoor public space, sharing the results on Instagram using the hashtag #ParticipationInIsolation. This encouraged artists to persist in being creative during the national lockdown and turning Instagram into a from of online gallery platform.
